Work Days of the role
- Permanent Part-time, Casual and Fixed Term positions available.
Description
Rare and exciting opportunities for fixed-term, casual and permanent part-time roles exist within our preschool. These roles are available for immediate start, supporting our highly experienced team of educators. All positions are to work with 3-5-year-olds in class groups of 20 children within our 60-place service. You will be working alongside a team of highly experienced and committed educators. The successful applicants we are seeking will be committed and motivated to deliver a high-quality, innovative program that encourages all children to reach their full potential. They will need to enjoy the outdoor environment, embracing all weather activities including encouraging sustainability within daily practices. We are seeking an educator who is willing to connect with our local community and share ideas with our team. They bring with them a genuine passion and enjoyment of being with children. They value the importance of all stakeholders belonging and share their interests and talents as part of their belonging. We run an emergent play-based curriculum and are looking for candidates who will easily flow with our well-established routines and practices, be open to guidance by educators who have formed strong bonds within the community and evoke joy for our preschool. Collaboration is valued at Gymea Preschool and we welcome applicants with strong communication skills who enjoy working positively and cooperatively with all children, staff, parents, and our Board of Management.
In this Early Childhood Educator position, you will:
- Support the design, implementation and evaluation of educational programs for our children
- Develop strong relationships with families, children, team members and the community
- Support the centre to exceed the National Quality Standards
- Have a strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
- Be committed to providing a Child Safe environment
- Be renumerated with above award pay and conditions
Qualifications & experience
- Cert III or working towards an equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA
- Current relevant First Aid qualification(including Asthma and anaphylaxis)
- Valid WWCC Number
