Summary:
Connect Children and Families (Connect) is a not-for-profit organisation serving communities in the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury, and Western Sydney.
Together we support children's and families' learning, safety, and wellbeing.
We do this by supporting families to access services that respond to their needs, creating pathways both across our services and to other community agencies that can support them.
Our services are available to children and families in their homes, Early Childhood education centers and pre-schools, community spaces and schools, and other family-centered services.
Possum’s Patch, Mount Victoria is a 24-place long-day care centre that joined Connect in 2014. Our center has served the Mount Victoria, Hartley, Mt Wilson, and Blackheath communities for over 20 years. It operates out of the original sandstone Mount Victoria schoolhouse, co-located with Mount Victoria Public School.
Our education team is supported to be the best educators they can be by having access to ongoing mentoring and professional learning. Possum’s Patch, Mount Victoria was rated as Meeting the National Quality Standard overall, with exceeding ratings in the Educational Program, Respectful and Equitable Relationship with Children and Professionalism, in July 2022.
