We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the close-knit kindergarten team at the Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara - Portland Child and Family Complex.
As a valuable member of the Children’s Services Unit you will:
- Support fellow educators to implement high quality programs and share the excitement of nurturing each child’s learning and curiosity through varied experiences and activities.
- Build and maintain positive and meaningful relationships with children, families, local community and our team.
- Work collaboratively with our team to provide an appropriate developmental and enriching high quality program for children which maximises opportunities for them to develop to their full potential.
- Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis.

What you need to Thrive
- A genuine understanding of and a desire to work with children aged 0 to 6 years of age.
- A positive personality that is open and reflective.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care.
- Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and an understanding of how this this reflects on daily practice.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
- Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational program.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
- Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to the workplace.
