Early Childhood Teacher at DubboEarly Learning Centre, Dubbo NSW
Sick of children's poor behaviour and tired of lazy educators? Join Dubbo Early Learning Centre where strong policies, professional mentorship, and active engagement create a calm and productive environment where everybody is held to account!
Dubbo Early Learning Centre is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher with an ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Degree, Post Grad Diploma, or equivalent.
At Dubbo Early Learning Centre, we offer:
We follow a structured curriculum starting in the nursery, focusing on building children's skills throughout their time with us. This includes learning through group activities, sitting, and following instructions, and watching well planned demonstrations from educators followed by direct instruction so children learn. We expect our educators to be actively involved—no standing around. You should engage with the children, instigate games, and make learning fun. Singing, reading poetry, and being expressive in art are essential. Cooking with children is a regular part of our activities, so you need to be confident in involving them in culinary experiences.
Your responsibilities will also include leading daily excursions into our local community. You should be comfortable pulling a 4-wheel trolley with children, meeting local business owners and employees, engaging them in conversations about their work, and collecting play resources and extending the learning from these excursions.
If you struggle with children's behaviour, our intervention team, including the Approved Provider, Nominated Supervisor, 2IC, and Educational Leader, will help you develop the necessary skills by coming into the room and demonstrating effective practice.
Our centre operates from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. We expect you to be fully dedicated during work hours, but your time outside of work is your own.
Interested in visa sponsorship? Work with us for a year, and we’ll consider it.
