About Your Role
The Child and Family Health Nursing unit forms an integral part of primary health care. It acts as an entry point into the community health care system and occurs in multiple settings within the community, supporting an integrated multidisciplinary service response based on individual client and Family needs. It aims to:
- Maintain, improve and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 years and their families.
- Provide safe, compassionate care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with families and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve safe quality care outcomes that meet the goals of the Child and Family.
