The purpose of this role is to lead the implementation of Eat Walk Engage at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) by facilitating the implementation of initiatives that will prevent delirium for older inpatients by providing high level expertise in clinical service delivery; project management and project coordination; education and training; and stakeholder engagement, liaison and negotiation at all levels.
Please note: This role can be filled by a Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist or Speech Pathologist.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Eat Walk Engage Program Facilitator to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead the implementation of Eat, Walk, Engage Program
- Work directly with the multidisciplinary team and patients on the Eat, Walk and Engage implementation wards
- Provide high-level clinical leadership, project management and quality improvement methodologies to support the multidisciplinary team
- Identify the educational needs of multi-disciplinary team who care for older patients and coordinate tailored training
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- AHPRA Registration
- Possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in one of the following:
- Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
- Occupational Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Psychology (or equivalent)
- Speech Pathology, providing eligibility for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia
- While not mandatory, a relevant health or management postgraduate qualification would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (64 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $62.75 - $67.53 per hour
