Economic Development Officer
About the position
The Economic Development Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering initiatives and projects to support economic diversification and resilience. The position will assist the Manager Economy and Tourism in progressing economic opportunities including supporting the operation of the Advanced Manufacturing Centre, STEM Program and co-working space located in the purpose-built Hunter Innovation Precinct.

About you
- Qualifications in business management, project management or relevant experience in economic development or business management roles.
- Previous project management experience delivering projects within a multifaceted organisation to achieve corporate objectives including procurement and contract management.
- Well-developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to work as part of a diverse team and build productive relationships.
- Experience in the operation and promotion of a facility and associated events and activities to increase business and community engagement.
- Evidence of well-developed planning, organisational and project management skills to deliver outcomes within set timeframes across multiple projects.
- Capability to research, analyse and problem solve to produce concise reports, autonomously with limited direction and collaboratively as part of a high functioning team.
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the position description).
- Demonstrated Developed key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the position description).

- Permanent Full Time, 35 hours per week
- Salary from $75,670 to $85,018 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 11% superannuation
