Role Overview:
As an Economist in the Energy Sector, you'll play a pivotal role in conducting research, analysis, and providing top-tier economic advice to inform project decisions and support strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to offer high-quality economic advice and input, enhancing consistency in economic analysis for policy development and decision-making.
- Contribute to thought leadership by staying abreast of current developments and emerging trends in the Energy Sector.
- Implement advanced economic concepts and models to aid decision-making processes.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and promote understanding of economic concepts within the energy market.
- Communicate complex economic issues in a clear and accessible manner to diverse stakeholders.
We're Looking for Candidates Who Have:
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, or related fields, preferably in microeconomics.
- 2-5 years of experience in policy, research, or regulatory roles involving economic analysis.
- Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain economic concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexible and innovative problem-solving approach.
- Analytical prowess, including quantitative skills and the ability to grasp complex subject matters quickly.
- Knowledge of financial economics and corporate finance (preferred).
- Familiarity with gas and/or electricity markets (preferred).
