As we re-imagine what a great Technology function looks like we have a unique and crucial opportunity for an Application Support – Team Lead who will manage our EDI domain. Reporting to the Service Deliver Manager, you will lead a team of EDI support specialists in the delivery of business solutions in both application service delivery and Application Support competencies. You will work closely with business, our vendor Support Teams and technology peers to identify solutions that enable our teams to inspire like no other.
The role will suit a curious and adaptable tech support leader who thrives in a fast-paced and commercially evolving environments.
Key responsibilities include
- Lead and inspire a team which provides support to a diverse mix of applications including maintenance and enhancements
- Through appropriate prioritisation of tasks and resource planning, the meeting and exceeding of agreed SLA targets
- Facilitating inter-team communication and cooperation and be actively involved with service delivery activities
- Managing vendors to agreed SLAs and ensure that David Jones extracts maximum value from vendor and partner relationships
- Managing Merchandise vendors to ensure compliance with David Jones policies and procedures and also being key escalation point for any technical support
- Ensuring ITIL process is followed and pro-active maintenance performed
- Lead on the analysis and implementation processes by ensuring quality of all technical deliverables is being maintained
- Managing resolution of issues and risks associated with Service Delivery outcomes, escalating where appropriate
What are we looking for?
- Dedicated experience in a similar Application Support/technical lead role ideally within a retail or consumer orientated environment
- Demonstrated application expertise in Oracle Retail, SIM, SPS
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in Retail merchandising, planning and supply chain processes and reporting.
- Demonstrated technology expertise in Oracle and (optionally) DB2
- Ability to partner with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve business outcomes
- Are team oriented, and thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally
- A curious and critical thinking mindset with a solution orientated approach
- Degree or equivalent certification in computer science, information systems or a related field
