Position OverviewThe Education Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and managing the training team. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a commitment to professionalism, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities1. Leadership:
- Set and achieve priorities, solve problems, and ensure ongoing development of staff.
- Deliver hard facts thoughtfully, provide constructive feedback and praise.
- Ensure staff productivity and team goals are met.
2. Staff Management:
- Provide effective communication with empathy, integrity, and active listening.
- Set examples of reliability, punctuality, calmness, and warmth.
- Set clear performance expectations for training staff.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to trainers and support staff.
- Handle recruitment, selection, and retention of training staff.
3. Training Program Design:
- Design and develop training and education programs (including ELICOS) and Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS).
- Ensure compliance with training package requirements and relevant quality frameworks.
4. Learning Material Development:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and improve learning and assessment materials.
- Validate assessment tools and instruments to meet the principles of assessment.
5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with RTO Standards, contracts, and relevant legislation.
- Implement systematic internal auditing, monitoring processes, and continuous improvement plans.
6. Student Support:
- Support and deal with students who have training progress, misconduct and/or attendance issues and manage student complaints and appeals
- Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to ensure compliance with relevant standards and quality frameworks.
- Experience in vocational education and training, preferably within an RTO environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or higher).
