About Us

With our current 98 inpatient hospital at Northpark including Surgical, Medical, Mental Health, Early Parenting Unit and Maternity beds. This hospital is soon to complete a major redevelopment adding a further 22 Mental Health beds. Our Peri-Operative services comprises 5 operating Theatres & Day Surgery unit. This has recently been complimented with a further 4 brand new Operating Theatres and 34 inpatient Surgical Beds at Latrobe Private Hospital just 3 Km's down the road. Northpark Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care. We are very excited to extend this community service to the broader community with the addition of Latrobe.

Are you a motivated and passionate nurse inspired by professional development and nurturing of others? An exciting career opportunity as a Hospital Education Manager awaits your application to Northpark and La Trobe Private Hospitals.

You will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development and teaching of education course/programs at the hospital are well thought out and executed.

As the Hospital Educator your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, develop and deliver nursing education courses/programs within the hospital
  • Coordinate and provide hands on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff
  • Support our Educators in Maternity, Mental Health & Theatres
  • Support our Student and Graduate nurse facilitator
  • Promote a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge
  • Supervise staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components
  • Ensure best practice competency based programs are available and assessment of staff competencies are provided for all staff

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE).
  • Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area (or working towards)
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant educator experience
  • Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
