About the role
The City of Coffs Harbour is in search of an environmental Education Officer to fulfil a crucial role in providing nature-based information to the community.
This role will involve developing and delivering environmental education programs, workshops, and learning experiences to a wide range of community groups, including pre-school to Year 12 students and other residents. Love conducting outdoor activities? Keep reading!
The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating events and programs, managing resources, communications, and logistics, as well as establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships to enhance the impact of our programs and sustainability objectives.

As an inherent requirement of this role, you may be required to work outside of normal working hours.
About you?
- A passion for education, sustainability and making a positive difference in the community.
- Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience relevant to education, environmental studies, the sustainability sector or a related field.
- Experience in program and event planning, delivery and evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
