What you'll be doing
The NSW PRS is a partnership between the three tertiary paediatric rehabilitation services across NSW – Kids Rehab at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Rehab2Kids at Sydney Childrens Hospital Randwick, and HNEkidsRehab at Hunter New England Local Health District. The purpose of this partnership is to ensure a consistent, coordinated approach to the provision of specialise paediatric rehabilitation across NSW, so that children, young people and their families have equitable access to care.
The ESO will work with key stakeholders across the NSW PRS to develop systems and processes to support the collection, access and maintenance of rehabilitation educational resources within a centralised portal, including access to professional development opportunities. A sustainable method of collating and sharing educational opportunities should be considered. The position will develop effective communication strategies to enhance the capacity for staff across the PRS to access high quality best practice resources. The resultant outcomes of this initiative will be to assist the streamlining of clinical practices across the PRS to promote consistency and equity of access for families and children to tertiary paediatric rehabilitation services.
- Experience in the design and/or delivery of education and training initiatives in a health-related setting.
- An understanding of the health system, including provision of paediatric healthcare services.
- Demonstrated computer skills and experience in computer-based application including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and information systems (e.g. Microsoft 365).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including capacity to prepare high quality reports and presentations.
- Strong engagement in quality improvement including project design, implementation and evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate, consult and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated time management and prioritisation skills, to effectively manage competing demands.
