Youth2Industry College is a small Independent School delivering VCE-VM/VPC to Year 11 & 12 in South Melbourne. Our school was established as an alternative to mainstream schooling with a focus on inspiring students interested in applied learning and vocational pathways. Our learning environment is safe, caring and inclusive. We have small class sizes and tailor learning to reflect the interests and needs of our students. Student contact days are spread across three days with two days dedicated to VET or planning sessions.
We are currently expanding our staffing base and are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Education Support Officer (ESO) to support student learning.
- Part time (.6 FTE) position (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)

ESOs support student participation in regular class activities, by direct support or assisting the teacher in the overall integration process. ESOs should be skilled in working with students and have the ability to support students who have a range of learning needs. This includes providing a variety of approaches to allow each student to reach their full learning potential. It is essential that they are comfortable with diversity and can work and communicate successfully with a range of people from many communities and traditions.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED:
- Education Support (or like) qualification
- Demonstrated experience as a Teacher Aide, Integration Aide or Education Support Officer
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Clearance
- To be passionate, pay attention to detail and ready to join a small team of dedicated professionals
- Experience working in a non-mainstream setting an advantage
