Join our dynamic team as an Academic Learner Support Officer and embark on a transformative journey empowering students to achieve their academic dreams! As a pivotal member, you will provide personalised academic guidance to students, fostering their growth and success.
From small group sessions to individualized support, you'll tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring no one gets left behind. Your impact will extend beyond the classroom, shaping the educational landscape and inspiring lifelong learners. Selected Duties:
- Assist teachers in providing academic support to individual and small groups of students to ensure academic success as well as wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development capabilities.
- Provide support that is aligned to an individual learning plan which sets out learning targets to enable them to complete their program.
- Support the teachers in identifying the most effective resources for students with particular needs.
- Support the student to access other student support services as required i.e. counselling, ALO, equity, apprenticeship support.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Education Support and demonstrated experience in the field of education or relevant Diploma or Degree with a focus of either education, literacy, or numeracy.
- Desirable Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N) Qualification or completed TAELLN411 Unit
- Desirable Experience and working knowledge of Training Packages
