Red Apple Balwyn is a family owned service located in the leafy suburb of Balwyn North. We have a sister service in Vermont with whom we share close working connections. We are a 77 place service offering early learning programs for children from 3months to 6years of age.
Our service is dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education and programs within a supportive environment where children thrive through innovative learning experiences. We have strong community connections with our families and all other local agencies. We are seeking a passionate early childhood educator with experience as an Educational Leader to join our team.
This is a completely off the floor role where you will work with our existing Educational Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our current Part-Time Educational Leader in a job sharing role.
- Support, mentor and guide the team in implementing high-quality educational programs and practices.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages professional growth and development among team members.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and the broader community.
- Implement strategies to support children's learning and development, including individual learning plans and observations
- Work as a team with management to ensure that we have consistant and compliant practices and procedures in place for delivering the program.
- Liase with other stake holders (eg allied health services, PSFO) to ensure the team is getting all the support they require to facilitate the learning and development of all our children and families.
Skills and Experience:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification recognized by ACECQA).
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an Early Learning Centre.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYLF and NQS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
Previous knowledge of using online planning platforms like Storypark would be an added benefit for the right candidate.

Renumeration is negotiable for the right candidate, based off of the Children’s Services Award.
