Educational Leader - Capalaba Oshc

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Educational Leader to join our team and lead our Outside School Hours Care program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and childcare, with a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for children in their care.

As the Educational Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative educational programs, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and leading a team of educators to deliver exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging educational program that aligns with the principles of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the My Time, Our Place framework.
• Lead and support a team of educators, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore and learn.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and activities, making adjustments as necessary to meet the needs and interests of children.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with school staff and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition between school and OSHC activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
• Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role within the education or childcare sector.
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place framework, and relevant legislation and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Understanding of child development principles and a commitment to promoting the holistic development of each child.
