Educational Leader - Early Childhood Teacher

We are looking for ‘Expressions of Interest’ for the position ofEducational Leader (ECT) at our Woodburn Service.

Responsibilities 

Ideally, you will work a 9-10 day fortnight (negotiable), supporting our awesome team of educators which has a mix of experienced, long term diploma educators, and new trainees and Cert lll's. 

You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the Programming Cycle within the service. You will ensure that curriculum and practices are founded in Evans Head Preschool Association's values and philosophy. Mentoring educators is an essential role of the Educational Leader. 

We value the Educational Leader position as crucial in the provision of quality practice, and as such, as a role of great importance. You will be responsible to, and have the support of our two Directors, and also the support and collaboration with the Educational Leader at our sister service in Evans Head.

Qualifications 

The service will strive to have an Early Childhood Teacher in the position. However, if you have Diploma qualifications, and are currently studying and working towards your ECT qualifications, that will be considered.

We are a Child Safe Organisation, and adherence to the Child Safe Standards is vital to us. Therefore you will need to have current and updated Child Protection Qualifications, a clear Working with Children Check, and a current First Aid Certificate including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training. Upon taking on the role, you will need to accept the role in writing, under the Children (Education and Care Service National Law Application) Bill 2070 and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
