Happy Sprouts Craigieburn is a purpose-built owner-operated service. We are looking for a quality Educational Leader/2IC with the enthusiasm to lead and inspire staff and families by advocating for children’s learning and development.
At Happy Sprouts, we have a child centred curriculum which focuses on children developing and learning through play-based experiences and thoughtful intentional teaching. Happy Sprouts aims to provide all of our children a fantastic fun environment that encourages curiosity, a love for learning and the confidence to try.
As the Educational Leader you will;
- Be an excellent communicator and supportive leader to all educators
- Interact with families and children in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner building strong relationships
- Support and oversee all educators to observe, plan and implement child centred, high-quality educational programs based on children’s strengths and interests
- Ensure the learning and development occurring is clear and children’s progress and development documented accurately and aligns with the EYLF, VEYLDF, NQF and the Kool Beginnings Curriculum.
- A vibrant, interesting, varied and appropriate children’s program is developed and implemented to meet the ongoing needs of the children
- Lead, support and ongoing mentoring of our team of motivated educators within our service.
- take initiative in implementing innovative curriculum practices and recommends new programs, projects and activities relating to latest research
- Support our staff to guide children's behaviours inclusively to ensure the best outcome for the child
- Work collaboratively with Service Manager, Approved Provider and other team members
- Foster a culture of reflective practice, which leads to the continued development and improvement of the service
- Implement and share your sound knowledge of the Approved Learning Frameworks and pedagogical practices
- Use Effective time management skills
- Actively contribute to service QIP to ensuring the service achieve its ongoing goals and KPIs
- Ensure the service is running according to all regulatory requirements

Applicants must have;
- Approved Early Childhood Qualification, Minimum Diploma level, or working towards a Bachelor
- Be truly passionate and highly motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Reliability and Commitment
- Strong understanding of NQF/NQS/EYLF and VEYLDF
- Experience as an Educational Leader/2IC highly regarded
- Current approved First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualification
- Successful completion of relevant Child Protection and Child Safety Training.
- Current Working with Children Check
