To promote and implement EHS polices and procedures
- Provide expert advice, judgement, and analysis in regulatory compliance This includes facilitation of workplace hazard identification, risk assessments and provide recommendations in risk mitigation
- To report all accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Provide EHS trainings to plant personnel as required
- Facilitate in the investigation of all incidents and accidents, together with ensuring appropriate preventive and corrective actions are undertaken in a timely manner
- Facilitate all local, regional, and global reporting requirements, in ensuring accurate, consistent and reliable data are reported in a timely manner.
- Coordinate in the early intervention, return to work and rehabilitation measures for injured employees.
- Conduct EHS management system audits.
- Participate in consultation on all EHS related matters
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, external certification authorities, suppliers, contractors, Solenis employees - all levels related to Braeside Plant.
- Facilitate Site Safety Meetings ensuring all areas of the site can attend
This position is responsible for the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental programs, including regulatory compliance and the requirements of Responsible Care for Braeside Plant.
EHS/Compliance
- Support plant EHS programs / initiatives to ensure the adherence to EHS policies/standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Conducting internal audits and reports.
- Performing regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.
- Timely maintenance and reporting of all Compliance/Regulatory items.
- Conduct EHS audits, Inspections, Risk assessments, Safety training, safety committee meetings and follow up of corrective actions.
Quality
- Support to maintain ISO 9001 certification.
- Assisting with the development of site policies and procedures.
- Conducting or assisting with regulatory and quality training sessions.
- Certificate IV in Health and Safety
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing
- 3 years + experience with chemical manufacturer
- Superior judgement and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Industrial safety and occupational EHS experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures, and programs
