The EL1 Business Manager manages a Business Management Unit (BMU) team to deliver common corporate services to the Cargo Helicopter and Uncrewed Surveillance Program Office (CHUSPO). The EL1 Business Manager is responsible to Director CHUSPO, and is a member of the CHUSPO Executive Team / Senior Leadership Group.The role will require the successful candidate to work within a framework of legislation, Commonwealth polices, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s mission and business objectives.As the CHUSPO Business Manager, the key deliverables include:
- Lead and manage the Business Management cell in allocating and prioritizing tasks in execution of the CHUSPO Business Plan
- Oversee and manage procedural, management and business activities in assurance of Business and Logistics Governance functions executed by the BMU on behalf of CHUSPO
- Assure business continuity and quality of key BMU functions (correspondence / registry support, travel support, WHS, security, CHUSPO Group Operating Budget management, logistics governance, facilities management, business risk management)
- Oversee implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) within CHUSPO
- Provide SME advice on business matters
- Optimisation of business processes for CHUSPO
- Coordination of the CHUSPO Governance and Assurance Framework
- Manage business and governance reporting requirements
The work is office based, with regular engagements required with both internal and external stakeholders.About our Team
The Business Management Unit is responsible for the delivery of Corporate Services and in conjunction with Branch, People and Workforce Management functions across the Program Office. We are accountable for the delivery of, and coordination of corporate support services across our multiple work locations.Corporate Services performed by the BMU comprise Logistics Governance and Assurance, and Business Governance and Assurance (which is further broken down into the areas of Information and Records Management, internal Financial Management, Workforce Management, Security, WHS & Risk Management).Our Ideal Candidate
