Position Description
Several opportunities exist for EL1 Records Management Specialists to join a dynamic Information and Records management team. The Deputy Director Information and Records Manager, will be responsible for and leading the administration of the service delivery, information assets, records and associated systems and related services within the GWEO HQ Records Management team. The role also includes collaboration and support to the wider team in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives.

• Provide subject matter expert advice to internal and external stakeholders relating to Australian Government and Defence record keeping and life-cycle best practice and compliance, and how they apply in electronic document and Records management systems.
• Champion best practice record keeping approaches and practices and deliver governance and assurance over the integrity of the GWEO Group Security Model and contribute to business improvement strategies.
• Communicate effectively whilst responding to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
• Manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development, and promoting professionalism.

The Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group Headquarters delivers a broad range of coordination and enabling services to support the Chief of GWEO, GWEO Group executives, divisions, staff, and external stakeholders.The Decision Support Directorate focuses on a wide range of corporate and enabling functions to support GWEO Group in meeting its delivery and compliance obligations to Capability Managers, Defence and Whole of Government.The Decision Support services include:

• Information and records management service delivery and its governance, assurance, quality management, risk management and Records remediation and compliance responsibilities.
• Implementation of ERP across GWEO Group.
• Staff are located at HMAS Stirling, W.A, RAAF Bases Williamtown, NSW and East Sale, VIC and Canberra, ACT.
