The Deputy Director United States Support is a key role in enabling the management and oversight of support arrangements to US Forces operating in Australia, under the United State Force Posture Initiatives (USFPI). Your project/program management skills, and excellent stakeholder engagement abilities will be essential to provide support to a wide array of stakeholders.
The EL1 Deputy Director United States Support will:
- Be responsible for the ongoing development of USFPI processes to ensure that Defence is able to implement the Force Posture program in accordance with Government direction.
- Support the implementation and coordination of estate planning, infrastructure project approvals, and delivery of US Force Posture in Darwin and Tindal.
- Engage with other government organisations both nationally and internationally, as well as industry partners.
- Be comfortable assessing project documentation and identifying recommendations with respect to risk and controls.
The Force Posture Initiatives Branch which is part of International Policy Division, is responsible for managing the United States Force Posture Initiatives (USFPI), Australian Singapore Military Training Initiatives (ASMTI) and emerging initiatives will allies and partners in order to promote security within our region.

- Previous Program/Project Management experience is desirable.
