The Defence Digital Group (DDG) is seeking passionate Executive Officers to deliver professional outcomes, support our executive teams and manage the executive support function. The successful candidates are accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex administrative support and exercise a high degree of discretion, judgement and professionalism. Duties will include:
- Coordinate the development and preparation of high quality advice for a range of Ministerial, parliamentary and media correspondence
- Create and foster high functioning networks and relationships to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken
- Provide strategic advice to the FAS and stakeholders to ensure priority matters are actioned appropriately
- Prepare, coordinate and proof complex or sensitive correspondence, including corporate documentation, submissions, talking points, briefing papers and senior committee papers
- Liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex or sensitive matters
- Provide leadership to the office team to deliver results by motivating, guiding and developing staff
The teams work to support Defence's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) footprint, one of the largest, most diverse and complex in the Southern Hemisphere. The Executive Officer works closely with the DDG Executive to help plan, administer and facilitate organisational outcomes and priorities.
DDG has a blended workforce (APS, ADF, contractors) of approximately 3,000 personnel who support the Defence mission globally. Over the next five years the Group will manage some $5 billion of Defence capital projects, which includes a full suite of cutting edge ICT programs to enable the critical reform initiatives under way across Defence and to deliver capabilities to support the ADF mission.

To be successful in this role you need to have:
- Demonstrated experience providing high level support to Senior Executives.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results, manage multiple priorities and respond flexibly in a high tempo environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating the development and preparation of high quality advice for a range of Ministerial, Parliamentary and Media correspondence.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to exercise sound judgement and highly developed administrative, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems and build stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to provide support with the highest degree of integrity and discretion.
- Ability to work at speed and be adaptable and contribute to change leadership in the Division.
- Experience engaging across stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes and build strong networks and relationships across the department.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear, concise and articulate manner.
