Deputy Director Materiel Logistics Projects will lead a program of work to plan and manage on-boarding new projects into the Materiel Logistics Function (MLF). The Materiel Logistics Function is responsible for policy, process and guidance for product support systems across CASG.The role will manage projects that on-board business functions, tools, standards and specifications. The range of projects will change over time to reflect emerging priorities; therefore, key skills sought include project management and planning, prioritisation and influence in a complex stakeholder environment.This management will include preparing project plans and schedules, ensuring planning aligns with existing lines of effort across the MLF business unit, and other related stakeholder lines of effort.The role includes:
- Analysis and design of opportunities to improve/evolve/innovate product support systems in Defence.
- Resource management and business case development.
- Application of project management tools and techniques.
- Stakeholder and relationship management.
- Collaboration and co-ordination with other Materiel Logistics Function Programs and lines of effort.
- Dependency management.
- Contract management.
- Team leadership and management.
- Secretariat duties for Industry and International Interest Groups.
