Please note: This is a 3-months contract with an opportunity of extension for additional 3 months. Candidates from the following locations will be considered: Brisbane, QLD; Newcastle, NSW; Canberra, ACT.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage staff performance and well-being
- Develop staff capability through coaching and mentoring
- Determine strategic direction aligned with agency goals
- Manage projects with organisation-wide impact
- Monitor risks, issues, and benefits, and develop mitigation strategies
- Provide expert advice to the agency's executive
- Prepare human resource reporting and coordinate recruitment
- Develop and implement work area plans and contribute to strategic planning
- Manage compliance with agency procedures and frameworks
- Build key stakeholder relationships and manage expectations
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
- Decision-making based on professional judgment and risk evaluation
- Experience leading change initiatives and supporting staff through uncertainty
