This Federal Government department is tasked with facilitating job growth and providing high-quality access skills and training through the implementation of policies and programs that foster fair, productive, and safe workplaces. Our client is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director Stakeholder Engagement to join their busy team for a temporary assignment until 11th of July 2024 with a possible extension for 12 months in Hobart.

Full-time hours, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
$75 - $85 per hour + super
Immediate start with a minimum of a Baseline clearance
Location: HOBART with hybrid potential
Security/Eligibility Requirement: A minimum of Baseline security clearance required
The EL1 is responsible for:
- Developing effective strategic partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders including Jobs and Skills Councils as well as employers, unions, and education peaks.
- Providing strategic advice and specialist expertise across a broad range of activities including one on one engagement, focus groups, working groups, workshops, and digital engagement.
- Providing strategic direction and leveraging experience to deliver positive Stakeholder Engagements, leading and supporting consultations and engagements relating to a potential National Skills Taxonomy.
- Developing communications and other written products including reports, discussion guides, narratives, presentations, and other engagement aids.
Relevant Bachelor's degree (desirable) or at least 3 years of demonstrated experience.

- Well-developed Stakeholder Engagement skills with the capability to create and maintain strong, productive, and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong experience in planning and executing consultation activities.
- The ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment and deliver high quality results.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to lead others and work productively as a member of a team.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to tailor communications and products to elicit productive responses and discussions from a range of audiences.
- The ability to work independently on tasks, exercise judgement and understand the impact of the wider environment on their own work, team objectives and other sections.
At least 3 years' experience in Stakeholder Engagement and communications.
Desired:
Experience facilitating consultation activities would be considered advantageous to the role.
