OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Communication Account Manager to join their team at the EL1 level. Within this role you will lead a small team in close consultation with your Director to support the development, implementation and evaluation of integrated communication strategies and plans.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with business areas, anticipating and assessing their strategic communication needs.
- Develop and manage associated communication resources, budgets and contracts.
- Develop communication material for various audiences, which may include social media and web content, communication and stakeholder products, videos and accessible communication materials.
- Work in consultation with the Department’s media branch to coordinate and respond to media enquiries regarding the Scheme.
- Monitor and report on the implementation of strategic communication initiatives.
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver results and effectively manage personal workloads with minimal supervision.
- A degree or diploma with a major in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing is highly desirable.
- Experience in the delivery of strategic communication, marketing or advertising in Government or private sector is highly desirable.
- Research and make decisions based on sound judgement, expertise and knowledge.
- Manage multiple deadlines and show attention to detail and quality.
- Readily adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

- Establish clear work plans and timeframes for self and others
