Your new company
Youwill be joining a dynamic and high-performing team within the Communications Branch of a Federal Government Department. The Branchis responsible for providing communication advice and services to theDepartment and its portfolio agencies, as well as managing the Department’scorporate communication channels and activities.
Your new role
Asa Communication Account Manager, you will be leading a small team ofcommunication officers in delivering integrated communication plans andstrategies for various policy and program areas. You will be working closelywith your Director and internal stakeholders to understand their communicationneeds and objectives, and provide them with effective and innovativecommunication solutions. You will also be managing communication resources,budgets and contracts, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of communicationproducts and outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
To besuccessful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with theability to write, edit and proof-read clear and engaging communication materialfor various audiences and channels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to developand maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and externalstakeholders, and anticipate and respond to their communication needs andexpectations.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability toadapt communication solutions to suit different contexts, budgets and targetaudiences, and evaluate their effectiveness and impact.
- High level of initiative and judgement, with the ability toresearch and make decisions based on sound evidence, expertise and knowledge.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, anddeliver high-quality results in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
- Experience in leading and supporting a team of communicationprofessionals, and fostering a collaborative and respectful work culture.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in journalism,communications, public relations or marketing, preferably in the Government orprivate sector.
- Thisrole is only open to Australian citizens and you must have the ability toobtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (baseline, NV1 orNV2).
