The Integrity Investigator will undertake internal investigations into integrity and conduct matters relating to employees, they may also be required to conduct primary Reviews of Action under Section 33 of the Public Service Act 1999 and case manage external jurisdiction matters.
Given the breadth of the role, a variety of skillsets are being sought to build an effective, multi-disciplinary team. Due to the sensitivity of the information handled by the People Support and Integrity team, this position requires the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and impartiality.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assess and evaluate information, referrals, and allegations leading to internal investigations focused on integrity and conduct.
- Conduct professional and impartial investigations and reviews of action.
- Case manage investigations and external jurisdiction matters with a trauma-informed and risk assessment approach.
- Support HR, Legal, and Fraud teams operationally and strategically under the Director's leadership.
- Contribute to enhancing integrity processes, projects, methods, and internal governance.
- Assist in preventing, detecting, assessing, and addressing misconduct.
- Experience in conducting misconduct investigations, particularly within the public sector.
- Proficiency in using investigative, analytic, and assessment skills to deliver objective and ethical outcomes.
- Ability to autonomously drive investigations with sound judgment and effective prioritization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment, collaborating with stakeholders
- Case management skills and experience
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations would be highly regarded
- Relevant HR or similar tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
