This important role in the Environmental Compliance Service will build upon existing skills and knowledge across a range of functional areas in the investigation of reports of unlawful activity on private properties throughout the Local Government Area.
Council’s Compliance and Enforcement Policy will guide you in the application of various legislation administered by Council including, but not limited to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Protection of the Environment Operations Act and the Local Government Act.
You are a steadfast, organised individual with existing tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and skills that you will use to provide quality and timely outcomes for the safety of the community and preservation of the environment.
This is a full-time position with the successful candidate having the option of enjoying an RDO every 2 weeks.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $86,547 gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
