KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure the agency’s procurement framework complies with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), policies, and guidelines.
- Establish and embed processes and systems to monitor, report, and improve procurement-related compliance within the agency.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to underpin the agency’s procurement framework including the evaluation of risk in procurement matters.
- Develop and provide training to the operational areas on the requirements of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
- Uplift the internal capability of the agency’s Procurement team.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the agency’s Annual Procurement Plan.
- Assist operational areas with developing expressions of interest, approaches to market, and invitations to tender including how to use existing panel arrangements.
- Respond to the government’s periodic requests for information on procurement and prepare briefings on procurement for Senate Estimates and other purposes.
- Lead the procurement-related aspects of the Finance Transformation program.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Australian Government’s procurement policy framework, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and AusTender requirements.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in working with TechnologyOne (desired).
- Experience in uplifting procurement capability across a team and Agency.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
