The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting a Parliamentary Service Level 6 Senior Procurement Advisor within the Finance and Property Division.
Quality Management Section is heavily focused on the significant improvements in planning, reporting and analysis, compliance and policy and, the establishment of a control regime to plan, manage the standard of project, Procurement and Contract management activities from initiation to closure. The team contributes to and drives process updates, system enhancements and capability development with the goal to shift into better practice and increased maturity.
As a member of a diverse team, you will be involved in assisting business areas with the creation, review and release of procurement exercises. Although this role will include every day operational procurement work, you will also have an opportunity to get involved in delivering training, trend analysis and statutory reporting activities.

Our ideal candidate will:
• Be customer oriented with experience working in either a procurement or contract management role with the ability to provide practical policy advice to clients.
• Need to have a working knowledge of the PGPA Act 2013 and Commonwealth Procurement Rules or the ability to gain this knowledge quickly.
• Have knowledge in communicating policies and procedures to clients of all background and levels with well developed problem solving abilities.

EligibilityThe successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a NV1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.
