About the role
The City of Sydney Library Network of nine branches is a key front line service in the community for local residents, students, visitors, tourists and workers.
We have a new leadership role at the City of Sydney Library, designed with the evolution of our team and service to our community in mind.
We’re currently recruiting for a Team Leader - Workforce Planner to form part of our extended Library Leadership team to help drive new ways of working and operating. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the resourcing, WORKFORCE PLANNING and scheduling process to support the library network in daily operations and in accordance with strategic objectives. This is a unique opportunity as part of a supportive team, suitable for those with leadership or people management and library or frontline operational experience.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing, enhancing and maintaining resourcing and rostering processes within the 9-branch network for ongoing optimal service to the community
- Leading and managing teams with a continuous improvement and innovation-mindset
- Working collaboratively with senior leadership and other stakeholders both internally and externally for effective workforce solutions
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in WORKFORCE PLANNING
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Effective communication skills
- Strong proficiency across HR elements, such as recruitment, industrial awards
- Effective skills with timekeeping platforms, excel and other relevant technologies
