Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits

We have multiple leadership opportunities available in the ICT Services Branch as EL2 Director ICT Services. The ICT Services Branch is responsible for supporting all ICT systems and infrastructure excluding the primary business applications such as SAP CRM and Salesforce CRM. The branch provides and supports ICT services to Agency Staff and Partners. This includes the design, build, and maintenance of ICT applications, infrastructure, and hardware. The directorates and broad functions within the branch include ICT Support, ICT Site Reliability, Security Operations, Desktop Services, Data Networks, Site Technologies, Platforms, Integration, and Data as well as the Service Management and Technology Services Offices

The EL2 Director ICT Services is responsible for managing ICT services, functions, and capabilities, ensuring timely and effective support is provided to end-users and the Agency. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to:
Leading and managing multiple Assistant Directors, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring and enabling effective performance in their roles.
Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and standards for ICT delivery and support services, in line with industry best practices and agency needs.
Providing technical expertise and guidance to support staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge for effective performance in their roles.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and vendors, to ensure that the function is aligned with agency objectives.

Our ideal candidate has demonstrated extensive leadership experience and skills and will inspire their team members to strive for the best outcomes. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including writing of executive briefs and financial reports. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining productive relationships as well as the ability to present and negotiate with influence at all levels is pivotal to success in this role. You will have and continue to build upon your technical knowledge providing guidance and support to your team. An ITIL qualification is desirable but not a requirement to apply for this position. While this role is ideally performed from Perth - WA, Surry Hills - NSW, Geelong - VIC, Richmond - VIC, Deakin - ACT or Brisbane - QLD, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
