The Personal and Indirect Tax and Charities Division within Treasury's Revenue Group are seeking talented, team-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated individuals to shape and implement Government priorities by providing informed, timely and effective policy advice.
This is your unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping policy advice and assisting in the implementation of Commonwealth Government reforms. The role involves managing a small team in the provision of advice to Government (options/analysis), developing measures (e.g., through annual Budget and Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook processes), and implementing announced measures.
Position Requirements:
The Director is expected to be able to:

- identify priorities and plan the work of a unit: be responsive and flexible, and manage uncertainty and change; and
- deliver results: lead work to deliver timely and high-quality outcomes that influence policy makers and effectively implement the Government’s decisions.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- Candidates with diverse experience and interests are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field, including, but not limited to, economics, law, commerce, finance and/or public policy.
- Experience in one or more of the following will be particularly well-regarded:
- Government policy development and analysis.
- Relevant private sector or regulatory experience in the tax or not for profit sectors or a related field.
