Job title: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
Location: 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 plus super
We are seeking a dedicated individual to undertake the role of designing project-specific products, encompassing tasks such as design, verification, construction, and testing. It is imperative that project designs adhere to international standards, industry best practices, and our project design brief, which outlines contractual specifications, documentation requirements, as well as designated time frames and costs.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design tasks tailored to specific projects: Application Engineering: Designing systems utilizing standard product offerings.
- Integration of field instruments
- Design of Low-Voltage DOL starters
- Preparation of supporting documentation for manufacturing, including GA’s, schematics, panel layouts, cable schedules, and interconnections.
- Detailed function descriptions, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Creating demands in the ERP system and generating software design briefs.
- Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing and, when necessary, site commissioning.
- Compiling operation, maintenance, and installation manuals, along with as-built documentation.
- Traveling locally and internationally as required by project needs.

Must-Haves:
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or equivalent Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering work experience, preferably in oil and gas, marine, or materials handling industries
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or a valid visa for working in Australia
The ideal candidate would possess knowledge in the following areas:
- Understanding of PLC logic
- Hazardous Area design
- Control Systems networking
- Ability to interpret scope definitions/specifications/standards/rules and translate them into technical/manufacturing documentation and drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent 2D software
