The role

You will provide important plant process performance advice and electrical engineering technical assistance to the Plant Teams to guarantee that all electrical equipment is operated and maintained to a standard that supports regulatory, safe and cost-effective operation and continuous production capacity.

Key Accountabilities:

• Function lead for high-risk work including, High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems to ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, Acts and regulations.
• Accountable for ensuring compliance to relevant external statutory regulation and internal plant and engineering standards and communicate such requirements to the relevant stakeholders e.g. AS3000, The Code of Practice on Electrical Safety for Work on or Near High Voltage Electrical Apparatus (Blue Book)
• Personal leadership of HSE compliance and improvement, including coaching of others.
• Lead the timely investigation of electrical related OH&S and reliability incidents, and manage resolution actions and subsequent review to root cause. Lead the timely completion of assigned audits and management of follow-up actions. Reporting and communication of all in accordance with IPL procedures and recording in SHAERS system.
• Execution of electrical safety management system, including Geelong deputy REE (Responsible Electrical Engineering) responsibilities.
• Support and promote the use of maintenance work quality systems and documentation such as Work Instructions, Procedures, Check sheets, Job Safety Analyses, Specifications, and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the Honeywell Process Control system including Allen Bradley and Klockner Moeller PLCs, and implementation of changes for plant modifications as required.
• Provide day- to- day and afterhours trouble shooting support for Honeywell DCS and plant HV and LV electrical infrastructure and process instrument systems.
• Key accountable role for all electrical process changes and capital improvements

About you

To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates to have previously enjoyed and excelled in the chemical manufacturing or other heavy industry environments. Highly regarded are those with a strong background in electrical safety management and technically competent in the areas of high voltage operation and distribution, Honeywell DCS control systems and Allen Bradley and Moeller PLC systems.
