ELECTRICAL AUDITOR – to start immediately. Conducting audits on job sites from the Sunshine Coast to Gold Coast area!

GateWest Energy is an Energex and Ergon accredited electrical contracting business, based on the Sunshine Coast. We’re energetic, hardworking, have strong team morale, and we’re full steam ahead with a whole range of exciting projects across:
- Electrical and NBN/Telstra infrastructure subdivision works
- Rate 2 and 3 street lighting
- Overhead and underground powerline construction
- High and low voltage cable installation, jointing and testing
- Civil trenching, pit and conduits installation
The role will be working from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast and West conducting audits on our job sites.
Qualifications:
- Current Queensland Electrical Workers Licence
- Prior experience in Electrical Auditing
- Current Drivers licence – Car – manual
- Attention to detail
- Good communication
- Current Energex CAMS training relevant to work being performed
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Work in a team environment.
- High regard for safety in the workplace and WHS regulations.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and manuals.
- Site visits to audit construction works and work crews.
- Willing to travel and stay overnight for extended periods.
- Liaise with Leading Hand and work crews regarding variations and changes.
- Knowledge and understanding of Energex/Ergon Safety Manual/Environmental Management systems & WCS's relevant to GateWest Energy's competencies.
- Complete work packages for issue to Energex/Ergon including “as Constructed” drawings within allocated time frame.
- Deal with Quality issues and Non-Conformances.
- Liaise with Electrical supply authorities' staff regarding project matters.
- Responsible for the development of our Audit program.
- Ensure daily tailgate talks are held and risk assessments are completed.
- Willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime (if required)
