AOM (Air and Odour Management) Australia is a national leader in the supply of commercial kitchen exhaust and filtration equipment. With an established network of staff throughout Australia and New Zealand, AOM Australia supplies equipment to some of the largest national commercial kitchens and retail developments.
AOM Australia manufactures filtration equipment and exhaust / ventilation systems (commercial kitchen exhaust hoods) and we require an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on the design / manufacturing and after sales support of our air filtration equipment products.
The candidate will be based in the AOM Australia partner site in Metro Brisbane and will oversee the electrical wiring of the AOM range of air filtration products as well as the commissioning and after sales support of the AOM products sold into the State of Queensland.

- Design and manufacturing of customised electrical consoles for filtration equipment. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards to electrical wiring is required as is the technical knowledge to standard electrical component integration within electrical systems.
- Reviewing the assembly and integration of exhaust filtration systems including wiring integration of electrical consoles, VSD to Fan connections, Circuit breakers, BMS connectors, water network pumps and solenoid valves, sensors (heat, pressure, smoke) as well as the fitting of piping networks.
- Programming of filtration unit processes including the programming of PLCs (currently Schneider TM120 range of PLCs are used requiring knowledge of C/C++, structure text and FBD programming languages), PID controls and the definition of BACnet protocols for BMS communication and safety programming.
- Quality control and testing of products including knowledge of standard electrical quality control requirements as well as review of mechanical
- Site works including commissioning, troubleshooting / fault finding and equipment repair works which will require a white card.
- Managing the AOM routine service and maintenance teams in the Brisbane metropolitain area including receiving and logging customer service calls and ensuring that all service repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner and ensuring that the AOM service vehicles is fully equipped and functional including required stocks of spare parts.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or related field
- Relevant industry experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Manufacturing experience and proven experience in working independently and in a team with the capacity of manage team members.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing of products requiring wiring to AS
- Extensive experience in PLC programming including definition of BACnet protocols.
