An exciting new opportunity is now available for a highly motivated and passionate Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Asset and Infrastructure Team.
About the role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing electrical systems and equipment across site to maximise plant availability and maintain electrical standards and compliance.
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the plant and work within a team to deliver Electrical Engineering projects from concept phases to commissioning and handover, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency and reliability are achieved.
What you will do:
- Develop, estimate, design, execute, commission and support continuous improvement and capital projects
- Program PLCs, configure control system equipment and program SCADA
- Provide technical input to assist in solving complex plant breakdowns to ensure timely repair
- Prepare technical reports, drawings and calculations
- Support the delivery of electrical and control systems projects to specification, on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate contractor activities in a cost-effective manner whilst ensuring work meets requires standards
- Co-ordinate activities associated with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of new or modified plant.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, with some industry experience
- Electrical design and commissioning skills
- Capability to program and configure control systems
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical faults
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present professional reports and documentation
- Good project management skills.
