About the role
Grow your career in our Project team as an Electrical Engineer to develop the engineering plan, project controls, scope and deliverables related to the Electrical Engineering works for the company’s flagship Project.
Reporting to the Project Director, the responsibilities for this role include:
· Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering system controls for the project electrical assets ensuring compliance to specifications and regulations in Brazil.
· Planning for high voltage delivery to site, on site electrical distribution and electrical controls.
· Ensuring all electrical project design work meets Brazilian Standards.
· Working collaboratively with the Brazil based engineering team to review layout and designs.
· Identifying health and safety risks associated with the electrical aspects of the project to ensure design, planning and controls are effectively put in place.
· Providing professional Electrical Engineering input to the Australian and Brazilian Project Team.
Essential skills and experience
To fulfil the requirements of this role, we are seeking candidates with the following essential skills & experience:
· Minimum 3 years work experience as an Electrical Engineer in Brazilian mining or heavy industrial industry on fixed process plant equipment & NPI.
· Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
· Working knowledge of Brazilian Electrical regulatory standards, laws and rules.
· Knowledge of Brazilian electrical design codes, practises and regulations with respect to the design of high voltage electrical distribution systems, site reticulation, local switch room design.
· Australian working rights.
· Fluency in English & Portuguese Brazilian.
