Today, as we are supporting our client on one of their major projects for 2025, we are currently looking for an:

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - PERMANENT POSITION

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND CAMPAIGN FOR EXPAT OPPORTUNITY IN SAUDI ARABIA

They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing’s Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD). ATSD is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements of Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation Admin Area and Saudi Affiliates. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of Global Manufacturing, operating facilities management, and driving the performances of operating facilities in executing corporate programs and initiatives towards operational excellence and value creation. Your primary role will be to develop plans and processes to ensure facilities electrical equipment and systems throughout its lifecycle to reduce safety, environmental and economic risk, while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and standards. You will also be responsible for providing technical support on high priority electrical issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain lifecycle management program and database for critical electrical equipment.
  • Manage and maintain the corporate arc flash hazard mitigation program and conduct audits.
  • Provide technical expertise and participate failure investigations to capture the outcome share with other facilities to eliminate recurring electrical equipment failures.
  • Develop and Manage centralized service contract for critical assets UPS, ATS, Battery Charger, Excitation, MV cables testing.
  • Manage the Cogeneration assets performance and lead the technical programs, studies and assessments

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering.
  • 15 years of experience in refining/petrochemical industries.
  • Experience performing electrical power system studies utilizing ETAP modeling is preferred. Familiarity with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting practices for industrial electrical systems is essential.
  • Experience with specification, application and maintenance up to 15kV class electrical equipment. Knowledge of power generation (cogeneration), power distribution and power automation is preferred.
  • Be familiar with topics of electrical safety and arc flash hazards mitigations, hazardous area classification, power generation, distribution and protection, motors and motors controls, AC/DC Systems, electrical studies and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, API, etc.)

  • Short-term Disability: In the event you are unable to work due to illness or injury, short-term disability income benefits are provided. The benefit is 30 days full pay and 60 days at three-quarters pay, in any one year period.
  • Death Benefit: Company pays an ex-gratia death benefit equal to 24 months base pay if death is from an industrial accident and 12 months base pay if death is non-industrial related.
