The position

Electrical Engineer

Full Time

Permanent Position

40 hrs per week

Salary  range $100 to $150,000

Qualifications & experience

Electrical Engineer qualifications, Bachelor Degree, or equivalent

Min 2 years work experience/on the job training

Experience working in the commercial site installation industry preferred but not essential. Team focused approach. Be self- motivated with the ability to work towards objectives and targets.

Tasks

·        Accountable for engineering design of switchboards and PLC panels to fulfill customers’ technical specification and all associated field equipment. (LCS, instruments, cabling etc).

·        Produces electrical drawings, engineering analysis and design work.

·        Undertakes computer-assisted engineering design & programming software to perform engineering tasks.

·        Maintains records during project, prepares BOMs and ensures all documentation is complete to customer required specifications. (Supplier document register.) 

Responsibilities

Undertake Electrical Engineering design requirements across projects.

·  Operate computer-assisted engineering design & programming software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. (Auto-Cad).

·     Study work order requests and specifications to determine all requirements for each customer.

·     Visit proposed sites to determine customer requirements when required.

·     Interpret specifications, calculating equipment requirements and ensure equipment is fit for purpose.

·     Compile and transmit final documentation to customer including a copy of marked up drawings/As Built, QA Doc’s, Manuals / Data Sheets etc
