Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to work at our Iron Bridge Operations in the Engineering & Reliability department. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, this position will suit an Electrical Engineer experienced within a fixed plant ore processing environment. During commissioning, this role will work with the Iron Bridge Integrated Commissioning Team in preparation for commissioning, and production ramp transitioning into an Operations role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support construction completions and commissioning as required
- Provide specialist Electrical Engineering support
- Root Cause Analysis and Defect Elimination
- Identification and scoping of improvement projects.
- Achieve targets set for maintenance improvement and costs reduction
- Drive improvement plans
- Ensure correct application of Australian and Internal Health & Safety standards
- Monitor quality assurance of critical processes
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience preferably in Fixed Plant Ore Processing
- Proficiency with root cause analysis (RCA), reliability centered maintenance (RCM) techniques
- Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus
- Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations
- Site experience in iron ore processing equipment such as crushers, vibrating screens, belt feeders, conveyors and pumps.
- Experience working with Control Systems, Switchgear, Instrumentation, HV/LV Motors & VSDs, Protection Relays
- Discipline specific familiarity with VSD's, HV and LV power, control, and electrical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP preferred) Planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills
