This role is part of a national team who produce small to major project bids and tenders. You will be responsible for preparing quotes whilst providing technical support to our customers and sales teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and estimating for low voltage switchboards
- Preparing quotations and major tenders
- Creation of data sheets, bill of materials and technical documentation
- Communicating written and verbally with internal team and customers, to ensure accurate design and quotation, and follow up with customers
- Providing technical support to customers and staff
This role requires a person with proven ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines. They will need to display exceptional organisational, self-management and multi-tasking skills in order to switch between job tasks. This role has a customer service focus requiring the ability to liaise and negotiate with contractors, wholesalers and consultants.
The successful applicant will preferably have:
- Electrical trade or Electrical Engineering qualifications
- Previous experience building low voltage switchboards (Min. 2 years)
- Working knowledge of electrical regulations, codes and AS/NZS standards
- Knowledge of electrical switchboards, motor control centers, control panels and PLC panels
- Fluent English skills, written and verbal
- Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical 2D/3D
- Strong drive to learn
