Job Overview
Career opportunities exist for exceptional, technically minded electrical tradespersons to join our global organisation. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum performance for Komatsu's underground mining systems in terms of safety, reliability and productivity.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide customers with pro-active advice and support, increasing equipment performance and productivity.
- Facilitate Flawless Start-up plans in line with global policy.
- Develop and standardize equipment and system commissioning plans.
- Provide advanced technical support for equipment in the field.
- Coordinate new product field trials and document results including any opportunities for product enhancement.
- Collate field data and evidence for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major failures and unresolved reliability issues.
- Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs.
- Trade or Engineering qualification in relevant discipline (electrical or mechanical).
- 2 years' experience in UG hard rock mining, manufacturing and or engineering or in a similar heavy engineering environment with an emphasis on field applications.
- High-level fault-finding skills.
- Ability to use detailed schematic drawings.
- Ability to work autonomously in a field environment.
