With an expected mine life of 30+ years, it will underpin a long-term iron ore business and provide sustainable benefits to the regional community in which we operate. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.
We have an opportunity for a dedicated and driven Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians, providing technical expertise and effective people management to maintain assets to prescribed standards and maximising equipment availability.
This role also forms part of the leadership team tasked with driving a strong safety focus in the Maintenance department.
This role is a permanent position, based on an 8 days on 6 days off and 7 Nights on 7 Days off FIFO roster.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and implement maintenance processes and strategies to ensure tasks are completed in a time and cost effective manner.
- Manage productivity levels of the maintenance team by setting KPI’s and ensuring targets are achieved in a timely manner.
- Monitor and control budgets and budget forecasts to meet production targets.
- Engage and collaborate with Supervisors on the planning and execution of maintenance schedules and activities.
- Accomplish equipment availability through the utilisation of human and equipment resources.
- Report on completed work with recommendations for appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain reports, records and work procedures within SAP related to the Electrical Maintenance function.
- Undertake failure analysis and preventative maintenance forecasting in collaboration with the Superintendent Electrical Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance Supervisors.
- Ensure stakeholders have the most up to date information to support their functions.
- Seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes increasing equipment utilisation through improvement plans.
- Engage with the Electrical Maintenance team throughout the course of each shift when on Site to ensure personnel any issues or incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- A Trade qualification as an Electrician
- Certificate of Attainment - HV Operator Training
- Electrical Instrumentation Ticket
- WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
- WHS Statutory Supervisor Section 26
- Strong supervision experience leading a team
- Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within mining and mineral processing environment
- Sound knowledge of maintenance management, strategy development and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan and execute maintenance activities in a deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated experience using and applying AS3000 WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
