About the Role
The position will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all electrical operations on RUC's TE2 Shaft Project. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of hoisting electrical systems, successful completion of project construction milestones, managing shaft and hoist plant maintenance and reliability, and implementing long-term strategic plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical management expertise, exceptional diagnostic skills, and a proven track record in project execution and maintenance route cause analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all electrical operations on the TE2 Shaft Project, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for electrical systems, focusing on efficiency, reliability, schedule compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the maintenance and reliability of electrical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Conduct route cause analysis to identify and address electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of electrical works with other departments.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project electrical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Monitor and analyse electrical performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical technology, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (significant trade experience in a similar role).
- Proven experience in electrical management, preferably in a FIFO or remote site environment.
- Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices, ensuring optimal performance of electrical systems.
- Exceptional diagnostic skills, with the ability to conduct route cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing electrical issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
