The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with planned production of up to 8 million tonnes of per annum. With approvals in place out to 2046, the mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.
Malabar Resources is an independent Australian-based resources company located in the Upper Hunter Valley, in New South Wales.
In addition to the Maxwell Underground Mine, we own the Maxwell Solar Farm based on rehabilitated land on the Maxwell Infrastructure site, Maxwell Infrastructure, the Spur Hill Underground Project, and agricultural properties including the Merton Vineyard.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
Due to the ongoing progress of the Maxwell Underground Mine project, we are now seeking energetic and skilled Engineering Professionals to join our Team. These are key roles within our site-based engineering team and will provide support and technical expertise across Outbye, Development and Longwall projects.
Current engineering opportunities include:
- Development Mechanical Engineer
- Development Electrical Engineer
- Outbye Electrical Engineer
- Outbye Mechanical Engineer
- Longwall Electrical Engineer
The ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, and hands-on approach, prepared to proactively contribute to a collaborative Team environment and operational continuous improvement.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant Engineering qualification (or currently undertaking, accompanied by an applicable Trade Certificate)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in underground coal mines in a similar position
- Detailed knowledge of Outbye, Development and/or Longwall technical and operational practices
- Strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
